Every year, more than a million people undergo joint replacement surgery – this has completely revolutionized the nature in which arthritic hips and knees are treated and is considered to be one of the most successful interventions in all of medicine. The joint replacement experts at Orthopedic + Fracture Specialists stand at the forefront of surgical treatment of bone and joint problems, including arthritic and inflammatory conditions for adults and adolescents, degenerative conditions, failed previous joint replacement surgery, infected joints, and avascular necrosis of hip and knee joints. Successful joint replacement requires a combination of surgical expertise and collaboration among a variety of specialists throughout the patient's entire course of treatment. Our joint reconstruction specialists have been leading the way nationally in minimally invasive surgery, anterior approach hip replacement surgery, mobile health platforms, and up-to-date surgical techniques and non-operative alternatives to get your patients’ lives back in motion. This course will discuss advances in total joint replacement surgery as well as multimodal pain management and strategies to minimize narcotics by a panel of orthopedic specialists consisting of Drs. Alec Denes, Jr., Alex DeHaan, and Richard Southgate.
